McBryde and Allerton Gardens, Kauai
This was a wonderful tour for viewing marvelous plants/trees at your leisure--with an 18 month old and his 'walking stick' we were glad we could walk/examine at our own pace.
The bus/tram ride there was so much fun and neat to look down on the last scene from the "Pirates" movie (if I'm not mistaken, the awesome tree from Jurassic Park too).
Everything was lovely, even when our little one approached us with what looked like a burgundy human heart on a stick--surprise! It was an unusual seed pod fallen from the Java Olive tree, filled with large seeds gently shining in their pewtery-silver coating. How cool was that?!
We made sure we had some water/raisins/mosquito repellant and kept track of when the tram comes back to pick you up--a lot of beautiful items to contemplate--and very cool curlycue vines!\
Here is the seed pod and Bailey/Em by some false coffee...and some cocoa on the tree trunk...
